Current Open Positions:

The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) at George Mason University seeks a Deputy Director of Academic Programs to work closely with the Department Director, the Chief Operating Officer, and other members of the Academic Programs team in managing the growth and successful execution of more than a dozen major programs, events, and projects. The Deputy Director is a newly-created position, and will report to the Director of Academic Programs.
The Mercatus Center at George Mason University and its sister organization, the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS), seek a Director of Foundations Strategy to join a fast-paced and growing development team.  Ideal candidates will have professional development experience with a track record of results and a demonstrated ability to take on significant responsibilities. 
The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) seeks a Program Officer in Philosophy with an interest in liberty, individual rights, private property, natural law, free markets, individual responsibility, and related topics that engage with both the ethical and institutional foundations of capitalism and classical liberal ideas.
A small, dynamic non-profit is looking for a full or part-time intern to assist the marketing department this fall. Applicants should have a basic understanding of marketing principles, an interest in the ideas of liberty and great enthusiasm for marketing. This is a challenging, versatile position for someone with an interest in email and direct mail marketing or who wants to gain experience with marketing and communications.
The Mercatus Center and Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University are seeking candidates for a Development Associate position.  The Development Associate is part of a growing and energetic development team and reports to the Director of Development.

Temporary Work
The Institute for Humane Studies is seeking temporary workers for various data-entry projects.  Workers must be conscientious, detail-oriented, and capable of fast data entry in Microsoft Excel.  Work hours during the week are flexible and can be part- or full-time.
